It
happens so, that many a times we build those picture perfect images in our
minds, and believe we actually can design our lives. We imagine situations and
then pre decide on how to react on them. What we basically forget is the stark
reality of ruthless life. Our lives are never what we assume them to be. The
moment where we thought we’re going to act like what we had decided or say what
we so much wish to, is just in our heads and is never going to turn real. This
difference between what we hope and what actually happens in our lives out of
the cocoon becomes the root cause of discontent. The best way to be at peace
with oneself is to humbly accept life as it comes.
I
do not propagate to stop trying or giving up when I say to take life as it
comes. What I basically ask is to have the courage to let go things and not
cling to people or situations. We very often keep looking for solutions to our
problem, keep wondering what went wrong and hope that things will get right,
when in reality we need no solution because the problem is already over. It is
all in our heads, because we get so much used to things around us that we
actually start living with them even when they’re over. We think we need to set
the pieces right even when they are placed correctly, just not the way we had
assumed them to be and things therefore seem dysfunctional to us.
“Life goes on” is truer and deeper in its sense
than the way this cliché is often used and heard. However, hard it seems to
move on, it is the only best way of growing and learning. Accept that change
even when you did not want it or wanted in a different manner, and disengage
yourself from the silly situation that has benumbed you from growing and
looking at the larger picture of life.
